Meera, Your Beautiful Brown Eyes...

My Heart Belongs To A Brown Eyed Girl
My Heart Belongs To A Brown Eyed Girl

Those beautiful brown eyes of yours
Are pools of rich, unadulterated, undiluted coffee
They humble me, stumble me;
Stir me, spark me
They confine me, yet set me free.

Those beautiful brown eyes of yours
Have depths that lead right to your soul
They scare me, dare me;
Spur me, cheer me
They break me up, yet make me whole.

Those beautiful brown eyes of yours
Contain complete, absolute, unconditional trust
They drive me, derive me;
Phase me, chase me
They fill me up with responsibility, then make me combust.

Those beautiful brown eyes of yours
Make me believe that I am much more than I think am
They uplift me, encourage me
Support me, strengthen me
Raise me way up above, over the normal and the mundane.

Those beautiful brown eyes of yours
Are a constant reminder that I am now a mom
A fact that’s so excruciatingly simple, yet so painfully difficult
That there is the hat of accountability that I must now always don

That I must now strive always and forever
To be everything else later, first be a mother

That I must now strive always and forever
To be the person in your eyes,
That reflects right back at me.
To be the person in your vision,
The best that I can ever be.

How Rujuta Diwekar Broke 4 Of My Fitness Myths!

Yes, as always I am a lagger when following trends and I have only recently laid my hands on celebrity weight loss consultant Rujuta Diwekar's 'Don't Lose Your Mind, Lose Your Weight' courtesy of a dear friend B. Yet, I must say, I did hear a lot about the person behind Kareena Kapoor's size zero figure but since I was never in the 'size zero' rat race, I had never really delved deeper into the topic.

Recently though, I stumbled upon Rujuta Diwekar's official website and Youtube channel and while I was surfing through the portals (one link led to another and then yet another), I learnt a lot of things about some misheld fitness myths that I had clung on to for all of these years. Now that Rujuta Diwekar has managed to convince me otherwise by busting some of my most 'holy grail' like precious fitness myths, it is time for me to test them out. Watch this space to know more about my sucess or failure in the near future, following her weight loss ad…

'7 Days 7 DIY Face Masks' Challenge For Soft, Glowing Skin

Meera and I were home alone, and of course we were loving it.

So this time, we’d decided to incorporate a little skin care into our daily fun activities and rituals. We took up a fun ‘7 days 7 DIY face masks’ challenge. The masks were all to be made from regular kitchen ingredients. We are 3 days done and still loving it. Well, at least one half of this team is seriously doing (and loving) the challenge, the other half, well, she’s sticking with fresh aloe vera! She does love her face packs and of course must have them as well!

So, I’ve started the challenge three days ago with Wednesday being my first DIY face mask day. Check out the first three along with the ones I plan to make and use for the 4 days to come.

Day 1: Cleansing, Tightening, Brightening Face Mask Ingredients:
2 tbsp Bengal Gram Flour (Besan)
1 tbsp Yogurt
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl till they form a thick paste consistency.

I applied it evenly all over my face and ne…

How Much Exactly Does An Epilator Hurt?

Are you tired of your daily shaves or biweekly waxes? I know I was, when I decided to look up epilators. Yes, epilators, the miracle of scientific equipment that offered people all over the world with a less time-consuming, less sticky, less icky and definitely less periodic hair removal solution.
While God had subtly and sometimes not so subtly tried to show me the wonders of using an epilator (that was my conclusion from their constant visibility in electronics shop windows, online forums, reviews and friend’s referrals), I was always hesitant to try something that may or may not hurt more than waxing. I am most certainly a late bloomer in this industry, where just about everyone had tried the product and yet, here I was trying to find out if the product was actually something I could use.

Yes, like a lot of other women, I am a measly, ‘knees shaking, heart-rate climbing’ coward when it comes to envisioning a pain that has no known parameter. Like for example, I do know that birthin…
